European Payment Methods

This year Wero will launch as a pan-European payment method, replacing iDeal in the Netherlands and becoming a default payment option across France, Belgium, Germany, and other EU markets. Currently, due to a lack of local payment integration, local customers are required to use credit cards or find workarounds to complete bookings. In the Netherlands this is a barrier. Many people don’t have credit cards, there is a strong cultural aversion to them, and many major supermarkets and retailers do not accept them at all. As a result, our current booking journey sends the message: “This experience isn’t designed for you.” We are looking for this payment method to be implemented to be able to use in Collins for our Amsterdam venue.
