Library-special characters in the title, such us ' or -

We’ve identified that some documents stopped opening due to special characters in the title, such as apostrophes (') or hyphens (-).

This validation behaviour has caused disruption across multiple sites, as previously uploaded documents containing these characters are no longer opening correctly.

Please update the file name validation criteria in the library to allow all standard characters (including special characters such as ' and -) in document titles.

Allowing these characters would:

Prevent disruption to existing documents

Reduce impact across multiple sites

Improve usability and avoid unnecessary upload restrictions
