Reminder notifications / emails to send when deadlines are approaching.

When a course/check list has a completion date that is approaching but the course/checklist is not completed it would be great if push notification and or emails are sent to remind the user. e.g. 5 days before due date an email/notification goes to the user, 4 days before due date email/notification goes to user and line manager, 3 days before due date email/notification goes to user, line manager, area manager. A similar function appears possible for renewals of courses but not for courses allocated at the start of employment.
