Populate automatically the tronc value on the rota with data from Access EPOS

The government has introduced a new legislative change under the Employment (Allocation of Tips) Act 2023. It concerns the fair and transparent distribution of tips and will have legal effect under the Act, meaning it can be introduced as evidence in an employment tribunal. From 1 October 2024, it will be unlawful for businesses to hold back service charges from their employees, and companies must ensure employees receive all the tips they have earned.

To comply with the legislation and automate this process without manual interaction, can service charge and gratuities weekly totals from the Access EPOS Manager (Stocklink) business sheet be directly linked with the Access Selima rota tronc tab field called ‘Tronc total from this week’ for the period? Also, lock the field on the Rota Tronc tab to limit manual amendments. The data should be able to be transferred at a set time every week that aligns with payroll and business deadlines.

By streamlining this process and removing manual tronc entries on the rota, we ensure compliance with the legislation and eliminate human errors. It aligns with our goal of creating an efficient, error-free system and linking automated processes to two of your systems.
