Improvements to asset data view and asset expenditure history in the necessary windows

Currently the system has many of the required features, however the workflow efficiency is significantly impacted by the placement and accessibility of critical data within the UI. The system prompts a single-screen workflow design, however several key functionalities require users to exit their current content and navigated to different areas to retrieve necessary information. This not only disrupts the user flow but often necessitates either external note taking or using the system in a way it is not designed.

Some of the examples that lead to current functional and operational challenges are:

Lack of access to Maintenance History from the Quotation review menu:
Current behaviour
- When reviewing a quotation that is linked to a specific asset, the system does not display the associated asset's Maintenance History in the review menu.
Workaround required
- Users must exit the quotation screen, navigate to the asset management or expenditure history modules, locate the asset manually, and then review the works and spend history. This breaks the single-window workflow and can encourage external note-taking.
Suggested enhancement
- Embed the 'Maintenance History' button into the associated views.

Lack of access to Maintenance History from the Audit review menu:
Current behaviour
- When reviewing an asset related audit, the system does not display the associated asset's Maintenance History easily in the review menu, it shows all related orders which can be very diluted in high population asset categories.
Workaround required
- Users often need to leave the Audit review menu to navigate to the asset management or expenditure history modules, locate the asset manually, and then review works and spend history. This breaks the single-window workflow and can encourage external note-taking.
Suggested enhancement
- Embed the 'Maintenance History' button into the associated views.

Recalled jobs do not display the Serial Number on the order
Current behaviour
- When a recall is placed the new job i.e. R1 does not automatically display the Serial Number of the asset as per a standard callout.
Workaround required
- Creates issues for auditing and works validation, this means users must either: Navigate back to the original callout to find the asset, or search for the asset in the 'Asset' function to then find the associated asset to locate the Maintenance History - all of these are in separate menus breaking workflow and can encourage external note-taking.
Suggested enhancement
- Adjust the system so recalled jobs display the Serial Number as per how standard callouts function

Quoted jobs do not display the Serial Number on the order
Current behaviour
- When a quoted works is approved against an asset it does not automatically display the Serial Number of the asset as per a standard callout.
Workaround required
- Creates issues for auditing and works validation, this means users must either: Navigate back to the original callout (if there was one) to find the asset, or search for the asset in the 'Asset' function to then find the associated asset to locate the Maintenance History - all of these are in separate menus breaking workflow and can encourage external note-taking.

- Adjust the system so asset-linked quoted works display the Serial Number as per how standard callouts function
