Align Order Cut-Off with Approval Time (Not Submission Time)

Currently, the cut-off is applied based on the order submission time, rather than when the order is approved. This creates several challenges:

  • Orders can sit in pending approval for days but still count against the original submission cut-off.

  • This makes it difficult to enforce a clear, trackable cut-off for suppliers and customers.

  • It impacts KPI accuracy, workload predictability, and consistency of service levels.

Suggested Change:
Update the process so that the cut-off is tied to the final approval time instead of the initial submission.

Benefits:

  • More accurate KPI measurement.

  • Predictable workload management.

  • Correct delivery dates aligned with when the order is actually ready to proceed.

  • Greater transparency and fairness for both suppliers and customers.

This change would help avoid misaligned lead times, reduce delays, and ensure we consistently meet agreed service levels.
