Be able to type in date of training record or course mark complete

Throughout the platform there are differing date/calendar options. When inputting a date of birth or start date of a user, you are given the option to type the date. However when selecting the date of a course completion or training record completion, it doesn't let you type, you have to pick manually from the calendar. I had a personal license to add into a user's training records from 2011, I had to click back hundreds of times to change the month manually. Please can we have the ability to type this?
