Hi Harry,
It's more about the financial reporting of the Costs (the Breakdowns / Recipes behind the condiment PLUs).
I don't really mind where the data can be found so long as it is made available to be seen / extracted into Power BI.
It is difficult for finance to accurately judge Costs of Meal Deals / Large Meal Bundles in which the guest can select multiple options of various items with variable costs because the cost will be held against the condiment PLU. So if a guest picks a Condiment PLU (Such as a Bottle of Coke) which costs us £1, but the guest gets it for Free (Instead of paying the £3 to have the drink out of the Meal Deal) the cost against the selling price is inaccurate because it should be absorbed into the Meal Deal.
Does this make sense?
Hi there!
Thanks for sharing your idea about bundling. We do currently have a tick option on the PLU under Printer Control for 'Consolidate condiment items on receipt' which may help? To get a full understanding, however, I have a couple of questions to help me better understand what you're envisioning.
First, could you clarify where exactly you want to see this bundling implemented? Are you thinking about bundling reports on the Point of Sale (POS) system? Or did you have another location in mind? Knowing the specific context will help us evaluate how feasible and effective this idea might be.
Also, I'd love to hear more about the business impact you're expecting from this change. What problems are we trying to solve, or what opportunities are we hoping to capitalise on? Understanding the "why" behind this idea will help us determine its priority.
It would be great if you could provide some more details on:
The specific areas where bundling would be applied
The anticipated benefits to our business operations or customer experience
Any challenges you foresee in implementing this idea
Your insights on these points will really help us evaluate the proposal more thoroughly. I'm excited to learn more about your vision for this!
Looking forward to your response!
Best regards,
