Help us shape the future of our products by submitting your own ideas and reviewing ideas submitted by other users. If you see an idea you like, feel free to vote it up and add any comments that you feel would be beneficial.
This is a collaborative community, so please join in, contribute your innovative ideas and help our product teams to shape their roadmaps and future product development.

Our teams will review the ideas which have received the most votes on a regular basis, meaning that not all ideas will receive updates. When an idea has received enough votes, the status will be updated to 'Under Review' and then a decision made.

Disable refunds when a payment has been redeemed

Our deposits from Collins integrate to our Zonal tills. The deposits push to the till & also are removed from the till when a full refund is processed. This is amazing!

We are finding that when a deposit is redeemed against a bill, our teams are still able to refund in Collins, thus refunding a deposit that no longer exists on the till. We would ideally like the refund button in Collins to be disabled when a deposit has been redeemed.

This would reduce human error significantly and protect us from losing revenue.

Thank you for this Idea submission.

Collins has the capability for third parties to mark deposits as redeemed once they have been used against a spend in-venue. Doing so locks the deposit in Collins and prevents users from issuing refunds in error. This is achieved through a documented API.

Indeed the requested functionality currently exists in the interface between Access Collins and Access EPoS, however Zonal are yet to implement this.

Our team stand ready to gladly support Zonal with introducing this advanced functionality if and when they have capacity available to do so.

This Idea will be closed pending engagement and agreement from Zonal that they would like to proceed.
