Minimum spends are obviously an integral part of reporting on hospitality events, so none of us here can believe there isn't an API response field for this already - but apparently there's not because it's tied into the value field when applicable.
We have been using the 'prebooked value' field to measure the sales team's performance - upon looking into this I've found out the API pulls different fields for the prebooked value depending on the highest number out of a bunch of data points. This is really not very helpful for us because of how many variables there are, it's not great that it doesn't tell us what number it's pulling, and after some analysis my end it often pulls a number that is irrelevant for us here. It's pulled the incorrect number for 40% of our enquiries so far this quarter..

The 'value' response field apparently follows these rules:
It chooses whichever is the highest out of the following:
- Pax * booking type average £/head
- Minimum Spend
- Deposit Taken
- Preorder Total... and if the bottom three are empty, it pulls the pax * booking type average £/head. (again, not helpful because this changes depending on the bt value we input and it's unclear if it takes the bt value in place when the enquiry is received, confirmed or at another time).
