Team Calendar – Configurable Holiday Visibility

Current Behaviour:
The HR system currently displays employee holidays on the team calendar, but only when the manager has permission to access that specific area. However, this permission grants full visibility of all employee information, which may not always be appropriate.

Requested Enhancement:
Introduce a configuration option to allow holiday visibility on the team calendar for additional employee groups or roles (e.g., "Posts") — without granting full access to their detailed employee records.

Key Requirements:

  • Ability to select specific Posts whose holidays should display on the team calendar.

  • Holidays from these Posts should appear as ‘Holiday’ (or a similar generic label) — without exposing sensitive or unnecessary employee details.

  • The current permission model should remain intact for those who require full access.

Benefit:
This enhancement would improve team visibility and workforce planning — particularly in cross-functional teams — while maintaining appropriate data security and privacy controls.
