Improve linked occurrence admin for dates which have taken place

I currently have a long list of events which I have linked together in the "Linked Occurrence" section of the admin. It would be much clearer for me if I was able to see all the ones which I have upcoming rather than events which have taken place.
It's also not possible to delete or remove a linked occurrence from the main list.

    In order to remove a linked occurrence from the list, set its status to inactive and will disappear.
