Display Point of Sale (POS) Name on Kitchen Video (KV) Screen

Overview:
When an order is placed for barista-made drinks, it is essential that the name of the Point of Sale (POS) appears on the Kitchen Video (KV) screen. This feature is critical for improving operational efficiency, especially in high-volume sites with multiple KV screens and a single dedicated collection point for all drink orders.

Reasoning:
In our high-traffic locations, we deploy:

  • Multiple KV Screens designated for specific drink types (e.g., hot drinks vs. iced drinks).

  • A shared collection point for all drinks, regardless of type.

Each POS setup dictates where orders will be directed. Clear identification of the POS on the KV screen ensures baristas know where to place drinks at the collection point, streamlining the workflow.

Example Scenario:

POS Setup:

  • POS 1 is configured and displayed as "Till 1 Collection Point 1."

Order Scenario:

  • A customer places an order that includes a hot drink and an iced drink.

  • The system splits the order, directing the hot drink to KV Screen 1 (hot drinks) and the iced drink to KV Screen 2 (iced drinks).

  • Outcome:

    • Baristas use the POS name on the KV screen to coordinate drink preparation and correctly places the drinks at the shared collection point.

Expected Benefit:
This enhancement minimizes confusion, improves order accuracy, and facilitates efficient operation in sites handling high drink volumes.
