Allow contractors to log visits from their desktop portal

It would be useful if contractors could log a visit from their portal if an engineer hasn't done this on site. It would save back and forth from contractors/unit managers after the engineer has left, or if the engineer has not reported to the manager.

It would be extremely useful if both the Contractor Main Username/Email Account and the Contractor User Accounts were able to log out jobs, provided the client has granted permission for this.

As highlighted in the original post, the current process can be quite clunky when an engineer hasn’t logged the visit on site. In these cases, we often end up either with the back and forth described by the OP, or having to explain to contractors that there is a functional difference between a
User account and an Engineer account. This often leads to a few common issues:

    - Contractors creating a
“dummy” Engineer account because the email address they want to use is already associated with a User account.

    - Jobs needing to be reassigned to that dummy Engineer account just so they can be closed.

    - Contractors having to log out jobs from a mobile device while in the office, which is not ideal.

A possible solution would be adding a new option, so the discretion if down to the Client if they wish to permit this style of job log out:
Contractors > Settings > “Can contractors close jobs from User Accounts?” – Yes / No
